Market Review

I purchased this product mainly for Portal. My friend had let me play it before I had an Xbox and I wanted my gf to have the same experience that I had as I really enjoyed the game. Portal sells on the Xbox Live arcade for $15 and since this was $20 for Portal, the Half-Life 2 series AND Team Fortress 2.. I was easily sold. Great value for the price.

I purchased the orange box for PC. big mistake. i installed steam, and after waiting 3 hours for it to finish, i started installing ONE game off of the orange box, HL2, and after a cpl hours, it was still preparing cache files. i leave it on all night (about 10 more hours), still preparing. i try again and wait all day, after reinstalling steam and everything. still preparing cache files. i want my money back or a copy without steam or something, because my internet here sucks, and the box has ZERO mention of requiring internet OR having to use steam.

The Orange Box

A great game, especially if you're already a fan of the Half-Life franchise. The sights and sounds of the first game are abound.

Also, it's a great deal... although I received this game for X-Mas, I can see The Orange Box being sold for $40. For Half-Life 2 (including episodes 1 & 2), Portal, and Team Fortress 2, you're getting a great deal. Highly recommended.

On the negative side, I've found the load times quite slow compared to other PS3 games. The game loads much faster on a PC or Xbox 360.

Half-Life 2: Episode Pack

The title says it all. Neither episodes are as good as the original, but if you liked the original you will probably like these.
