One of, if not the greatest, deals you can get. But, it would have been even better if Half Life 1 was on the disk. Other than that it was perfect.

Half-Life 2: Episode Pack

Getting Episode 1 and 2 at this price is pretty good, especially with Portal being made available for free during a limited promotion in May.

The plot/story in Episode 1 and 2 are very short, but still immerse the player into the story. Episode 1 incorporated many mechanisms taken straight from Portal, such as the use of energy balls to open locks/doors.

Episode 2 utilized one too many convenient plot devices to keep the story moving, such as the the elevator during the mission where Gordon has to obtain the larvae essence.

Half Life 2

First off, the game's graphics and controls are great, even fun to go through x amount of levels before it turns into something totally crude, offensive, and evil.

I had the displeasure of going into the level "We don't go to Ravenclaw" or whatever it's called, and you're basically in an abandoned town at night with mentally handicapped people screaming at you "Let go of me!!" while you throw saw blades at everyone.

If you're getting sick and tired of the evil crap put out there in the media, don't trot in this excrement.

Half-Life 2: Game of the Year Edition

Half-Life 2 is a fantastic game. Years ago, when it came out, I refused to get it because of Steam. Even though I still don't care for Steam, Half-Life 2 and its many spinoffs may actually be worth it.

HOWEVER - DO NOT BUY THIS GAME USED!

As others have pointed out, if the CD key is already in use by another Steam account, you CANNOT play the game. All I wanted was to play HL1: Source, but because I didn't read the reviews, I now have a game I'll probably end up sending back.
